Helping Those Who Help Others. At Your Choice Charities, Inc. & Auction (YCCI&A), our mission is simple: To empower generosity by creating a marketplace where charities, donors, and buyers come together to make a difference. Traditional charities often rely solely on cash donations.

We offer something more—a platform where valuable items can be turned into funding for the charity of your choice. Whether it's a car, boat, real estate, or a rare collectible, items don’t have to be “in-house” to make an impact. With us, donors and organizations gain access to a flexible, transparent auction platform that brings new exposure and unexpected revenue streams.

We’re proud to be founded by a disabled veteran, and part of every fee we collect goes to support our favorite cause—volunteer firefighters across the U.S., with a special focus on low-income and rural communities.

Mission Statement

Most Charities only accept cash donations. Many would accept valued items if they had the means or resources to make those items liquid. That would be timely and expensive. Our unique Auction Site is the only place where the Charities, Sellers and Buyers, are able to join together in producing unforeseen revenues.

Your Choice Charities, Inc. & Auction offers Sellers who have selected items they would like to turn into cash for charities by using our auction site, thus having the items proceeds given to the Charity of Their Choice. Most of these recipients (charities) are surprised with this gift and new stream of revenue and exposure. Also Charities can now take delivery of items they choose to re-sell, enabling a quick return using our auction. In many instances the items don’t have to be in house. They may be a Vehicle, Vessel, Real Estate or other valued items.

We do not compete with our Sellers or Charities. We are only a marketplace; not another re-seller with our own listings. Amazon, Etsy, Ebay and other online “marketplaces” are your competitors who sell their products and have high listing fees and commissions, while putting their interests first. I won’t even get into the headaches when it comes to using Craigslist. We don’t charge listing fees and have the lowest possible sales commissions. YCCI&A; is for charities and their support base. We’re the way to create sales and profit from the rewards of others benevolence. We are Community. We are helping in the Charitable community while enabling all to sell and buy in a clean marketplace that’s focused on giving. This is a win, win solution!

Your Choice Charities, Inc. & Auction, is asking for everyone’s assistance. We understand some foundations, organizations and individuals can’t offer cash contributions or sponsorship’s, although a mention to those you know and on social media, in your newsletter or blog would be greatly appreciated. We are not asking for hundreds or thousands for our cause but we believe, if entrusted with a little, the rewards will be great. We rely on the generosity of Partners, Sponsors, Advertisers and Individual Supporters in helping us generate and sustain a national presence. Placing your trust in our efforts will not only help us in assisting your foundation efforts but will show others how to get involved in giving back to their community.

We can’t or will not put a price on our appeal for associates. We value your generosity based upon our significance to you and other organizations and those you’ve chosen to support. So please assess our proposal and trust in us while we gain more ways of contributing to all these organizations and their just and worthy causes. 

The Moment That Sparked a Mission

Your Choice Charities was born from a simple yet profound realization: nonprofits and local heroes often struggle to secure the funds they need, especially in times of crisis. It all started in a small rural town in Tennessee. I was at a stoplight at what was called The Junction when I noticed a group of firefighters holding out boots, collecting donations from passing cars. I pulled over to speak with one of them, someone I knew personally. What he shared stayed with me long after that moment.

Two volunteer firefighters had been seriously injured on the job and, as a result, lost their primary means of income. After receiving only a few weeks of assistance—whether through a workers’ compensation fund or some other limited resource—they were left struggling just to feed their families. Their fellow firefighters had taken to the streets, boots in hand, hoping the community would step up where traditional support had fallen short. Of course, I gave what I could. But all day—and all night—the thought haunted me: There has to be a better way.

A New Vision for Giving

Years earlier, I had considered opening a thrift store where donated goods could be sold, and the proceeds would go directly to charities chosen by the donors. But I also understood the enormous cost and logistics required to make something like that work. That’s when the idea struck: Why not create an online auction site designed specifically to benefit nonprofits?

This would allow:

  • Donors and sellers to contribute items, with proceeds directed to the nonprofit of their choice. •
  • Nonprofits to receive vital funding without relying solely on direct cash donations.
  • Buyers to find and purchase items they want—while supporting a cause they care about.

And that’s how Your Choice Charities was born.

More Than Just an Auction Platform

While our one-of-a-kind online auction remains the heart of what we do, we knew we had to go further. Nonprofits face immense challenges beyond fundraising, so we expanded our support to include:

  • A Free Nonprofit Event Calendar – Organizations can promote their fundraising events, drives, and community efforts at no cost.
  • A Resourceful Blog – Providing valuable insights, fundraising tips, and expert advice tailored to the needs of nonprofits and philanthropists.
  • Brand & Awareness Support – Helping nonprofits, businesses, and generous individuals connect in ways that amplify charitable giving.

Why Not Just Donate or Sell It Yourself?

It’s a fair question—and honestly, you can. You can list it on eBay or Marketplace, or call a local charity to pick it up. But here’s what makes us different: 

  • You choose the charity. Most donation sites don’t give you a say. We do.
  • Charities get a platform. Many nonprofits can't accept or resell donated goods—they simply don’t have the resources. We give them a cost-free way to receive and sell items through our platform.
  • We’re a nonprofit billboard. Just by listing here, causes get free exposure, the option to have a custom blog or feature space, and the chance to raise money they wouldn’t otherwise.
